Johnny Logan sings for Ireland again. Last night he took to the field at the Rhein Energie Stadium in Cologne.

Logan opened up proceedings in a fully packed stadium where he sang the Irish National Anthem “Amhrán na bhFiann”.

Ireland may be leading Germany at Eurovision victories but when it comes to the “Beautiful Game”, Germany have the edge. Last night saw Ireland go down to Germany 3-0 in the World Cup Qualifying Match.

Interesting to see that the Irish Media is not calling for the Irish Football team to withdraw from International competition unlike they do when we don’t come Top of the leader board at Eurovision. At least out acts have made the Grand Final of the contest for the last 4 years running.

However we still lend our support to the National Football Team – just like Johnny Logan did last night.
