Cascada – Germany’s Eurovision 2013 Eurovision Entrants – bounce back from their disappointing (and undeserved) result in Sweden with the new song “The World is in My Hands”.

I get the distinct feeling that Cascada has 2 songs for Eurovision and decided on “Glorious”, as their brand new song “The World Is In My Hands” is exactly 3 minutes long – hmmm perfect for Eurovision too.

Slow start to the song and video – for a moment I though it was The Spice Girls “2 Become 1” but then the song kicks in and we are back to the more traditional Cascada beat that we always loved. This is much more like Cascada’s global hits “Everytime We Touch” and “Evacuate The Dance Floor”.

The song has a harder edge to it than “Glorious” and the video is more your typical Cascada style with an underground feeling of a Berlin underground club. The song is taken from Cascada’s “Greatest Hits” (available on iTunes and Amazon) and we expect this return to form to take Nathalie and the band back to the charts.

You can’t keep a good woman down and she is to be commended for coming back after the result in Eurovision. It is certainly not because she needs the money! So let people pontificate over the vocals at Eurovision – Cascada gave us a more memorable song and performance than many of the songs that finished above Germany at Eurovision this year.

“The World Is In Your Hands” – it most certainly is!
