Danish broadcaster DR has confirmed that Odense wants to be the host city of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in 2014.

DR are determined to show all parts of their country in this year’s run up to the Eurovision Song contest. Upon hearing the news the Mayor of Odense , Anker Boye said “The city could actually deliver the Danish Eurovision Song Contest 2014 participant and could also bring the country and city into the international spotlight as preparations for Eurovision 2014 will be underway.”

Does this news bode well for other venues for Eurovision 2014 itself besides Copenhagen?
