Romanian Eurovision Representatives 2012 “Mandinga”- will be performing a live concert in London today June 15th. Mandinga last year finished 12th in the Eurovision Grand Final with their song “Zaleilah” . They have been slowly building a name for themselves outside of Romania – hence their trip and performance in London.

No doubt that will also be performing their Eurovision song from 2012

What makes this performance in their Eurovision Semi Final very special is that the lead singer, Elena Ionescu, could not hear any of the playback track and had to sing blind with no point of reference. You can see her gesturing that she could not hear and eventually took out her ear piece. Credit to her that she sang in key and time – which some acts have problems with when they have the playback working! Kudos Elena!
