Roberto Bellarosa can be a happy man as he brought Belgium to 12th place in the  Grand Final at this year’s Eurovision Grand Final. On the back of his success VRT, the Flemish broadcaster, have announced their Eurosong 2014 plans to select the next Belgian Eurovision Representative for Denmark 2014.

The Song Selection show of “Eurosong”, was last used by the Flemish organisers in 2008 when the group Ishtar won and performed at Eurovision in Belgrade.

VRT Spokesman  Björn Verdoodt said “Eurosong will be back but it is a completely new formula, we do not expect a copy of the previous format. It will be a show that will be spread out over several weeks”. 

We are happy at this announcement as we had to be up at the crack of dawn to look at Roberto performing all the National Final songs on Sunday morning Belgian Radio this year – we were not the better for it!
