Cezar from Romania has taken to the stage for his second rehearsal at Eurovision.

Elaine’s View

This looks better than it did on Thursday. It is a bit more structured but the dancers coming out under the “parachute” looks really messy and also when they wrap the cloth around the girl and lift her up. This song is one of the biggest divisive songs in the contest. I kind of like it in a warped way as it is so over the top and bonkers and it will probably qualify as Romania have never failed to qualify for the final but it would be a real shame if something like San Marino or Malta lost out to it. It is fun however.

Andrew’s view

No idea where to start here, a perfectly good song ruined by a crazy voice/way of singing it. Then we look at the staging Cezar dressed all in sparkly black costume just like Dracula, Dancers whirl around with a huge red sheet and Cezar seems to rise up to the height of Igor our friendly Ukrainian giant. Its my first “Oh my God” moment this year. It’s so wacky it’s probably going to work for Romania and this is a definite qualifier for me now.

Garrett’s View

Firstly let me say that some of our readers may have lost in translation my first review of Cezar’s performance 2 days ago. I have always loved this song and if you ask my colleagues in the Press Center I have been championing this song to qualify for the Grand Final.

Today’s performance was more impressive. Cezar has shaved his chest for the performance, and as for that, the act remains the same as it did 2 days ago. The dancers coming out from the red cloak is better but still some work needed to make this look smoother on camera. I do hope that the dancers are going to wear different costumes as they need to blend in more with the Dracula theme that we feel is the goal. I love this song as it is original, as is Cezar’s performance and style of singing. Romania need to qualify for the Grand Final as I want all of Europe to see the performance. For me – Cezar will qualify for the Grand Final with ease. Still loving him and the performance.
