SVT announced that this year they will be broadcasting 3 – 1 hour-long live shows just before both Eurovision Semi Finals and The Grand Final. The shows will come live from the Press Center and Artist preparation area. The host of the shows will be Melodifestivalen presenter Gina Dirawi.
The concept of the show will be to give the global audience a behind the stage view of Eurovision and help to build the atmosphere for the live shows. The broadcasts will be called “Live : Eurovision Studio” and producer Henrik Johnsson wants this to be a fun show where Gina can joke with the Press and the Artists and give the audience a sense of the excitement in Malmo.
When will the shows be broadcast?
- May 14 (Semi Final 1) 20:00 to 21:00 (CET)
- May 16 (Semi Final 2) 20:00 to 21:00 (CET)
- May 18 (Grand Final) 20:00 to 21:00 (CET)
There will also be a live broadcast for 15 minutes after each of the shows to see the reaction in the hall.
We assume it will be like Melodifestivalen and will be available on-line on the official SVT Website for all of Europe to watch. Another innovation that SVT has brought to Eurovision 2013. So the Grand Final will be a 4 and a half hour live experience with the “Live : Eurovision Studio”.
