It was with sorrow that we heard the 2011 Russian Eurovision contestant, Alexei Vorobyov (Alex Sparrow), was involved in a serious car accident yesterday in Los Angeles. He was rushed to hospital where Doctors identified that he had serious brain injuries and extensive hemorrhaging.

It appears that he has now regained consciousness but is unable to talk and move. Doctors cannot make a firm prognosis as yet to his possible recovery.

Having met Alexei in Düsseldorf we can certainly say that he was an absolute gentleman and we hope that he makes a full recovery.

Alexei was in Los Angeles where he was recording new music material and preparing for upcoming acting roles. His tour and upcoming movie schedules have all been cancelled until further notice.

Our very best wishes go out to Alexei and his family. Remembering happier times….
