#BIRTHDAY: Iru from Georgia is 24 today In these days of 21st Century contests, it’s becoming common that we’re getting alumni from the Junior version. No-one’s yet done the double, but it’s only a matter of time. In 2023, today’s birthday girl ირინა ‘ირუ’ ხეჩანოვი/Irina ‘Iru’ Khechanovi took […]
#BIRTHDAY: Dion Cooper from the Netherlands is 31 today Do you have a penchant for duets? Do you like the close harmonies when two well-suited singers are paired up for a gem of a song? Do you like it when they stand millimetres apart and shout at each […]

#BIRTHDAY: Mae Muller from the UK is 27 today If you were a Eurovision performer (and maybe you are), when would you want to perform in the Grand Final? First, so you can get to the free bar? Last, so the crowd will be nicely warmed up? Or […]
#BIRTHDAY: La Zarra is 37 today When you look at non-Europeans that participate in our favourite TV show, our friends in Canada must have provided more than their fair share. We’ve had one Canuck winner, and many others have tried. Today’s birthday girl La Zarra (née Fatima-Zahra Hafdi) […]
