SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, have confirmed the funds raised during Melodifestivalen 2026, for Radiohjälpen – their national selection for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, in Vienna.
SVT revealed that during the six weeks of Melodifestivalen 2026, a total of 4,498,258 SEK, was raised for Radiohjälpen, on behalf of Världen Barn. This is an increase of 34.8% compared to last year. Anders Wistbacka, Project Manager for Melodifestivalen, had the following to say:
“It is gratifying to see that Melodifestivalen continues to engage and that the collection for Radiohjälpen increased by more than a third compared to last year. We also opened up the possibility of voting for Radiohjälpen in the app, which proved to be a popular way to contribute. At the same time, it is incredibly fun to see how FELICIA’s contribution engaged so many viewers, not least in the final where she received the second most votes ever.”
While Felicia is second in terms of most votes in the final, the top five are:
- KAJ – “Just take a sauna”: 4,305,774 votes
- FELICIA – “My System”: 3,961,954
- Loreen – “Tattoo”: 3,783,148
- Anders Bagge – “Bigger Than the Universe”: 3,464,137
- Måns Zelmerlöw – “Revolution”: 3,278,385
During the grand final, a total of 962,495 members of the Swedish public cast a vote. A total of 1,912,546 SEK was raised for Radiohjälpen.
