SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, will open the voting ahead of the Melodifestivalen 2026 Grand Final – their national selection for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, in Vienna.
Between Monday 2nd March at 08:00 GMT/09:00 CET and Friday 6th March at 18:00 GMT/19:00 CET, it will be possible to vote early for the twelve final entries in the Melodifestivalen app. Early voting only applies to Radiohjälpen votes in the app and you can vote five times per entry. This means that votes cast during this period will be collected and will be counted in the Radiohjälpen viewer group (viewer group 8) when the votes are compiled during the final.
Anders Wistbacka , Melodifestivalen’s Project Manager, had the following to say:
“A new feature in this year’s final is that we are introducing the possibility of early voting with Radiohjälpsröster in the app. The aim is to give more people the opportunity to vote for their favourite, even those who cannot follow the broadcast live. We are testing this this year and will take the viewers’ feedback into account in how we will continue to develop the voting.”
