KiKA, the German national broadcaster, have confirmed their continued non-participation at the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest and beyond.
KiKA have confirmed that Germany will not only return for the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, but also the foreseeable future. KiKA’s Press Department had the following to say:
“Unfortunately, after a long consultation process, we have decided to withdraw from further participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the foreseeable future. This decision is the result of a structured exchange of views between the editorial staff, those responsible for the program, and the relevant team and the KiKA program committee, who have carefully assessed further participation in the competition in recent months.”
