
Here at Eurovision Ireland, we are taking a historical look back on our favourite Contests past and present, on the very day they took place. Today it’s March 3rd:
Sunday 3rd March 1957
On this day in 1957, the 2nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Frankfurt, Germany. Austria, Denmark & the United Kingdom debuted. The Netherlands took victory with Corry Brokken performing “Net als toen” and 31 points.
