SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, have announced the Core Production Team for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.
Ebba Adielsson will assume the role of Executive Producer and overall responsibility for the Contest in 2024; she will temporarily step down from her role as head of SVT Entertainment. Ebba Adielsson had the following to say:
“I am very proud and excited about this extraordinary assignment and can finally present the first key roles and leadership of the core team that will lead Eurovision Song Contest 2024. It is impossible to find a more experienced trio in this context, and it feels extremely reassuring to have them on board in this gigantic and very complex productions.”
Christel Tholse Willers is the Executive Producer responsible for communication, press, brand, and event in collaboration with the Host City. Christel had a similar role when Malmö hosted the Contest in 2013, and has a solid background in Melodifestivalen, including as Executive Producer.
Tobias Åberg is responsible for overall technical production in the role of Executive in Charge of Production and was also part of the core team in 2013 and 2016. Since then, he has served as Head of Production or a technical expert in Eurovision Song Contest productions for the past eight years, most recently working with the BBC in Liverpool.
Johan Bernhagen, along with Martin Österdahl, was Executive Producer for the Contest in 2016 and Head of Productions in Malmö in 2013. This time, he will be Executive Line Producer and will be responsible for the finance and overall technical production together with Tobias Åberg.
More Core Production Team members are to be announced in due course. The Host City will also be announced this summer.
