Earlier this year, NBC, the American national broadcaster, cancelled the American Song Contest after just one season.

During the EBU Press Conference yesterday evening, Martin Österdahl, Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest, had the following to say:

“Partners in America are looking at other options.”
