
Over the course of November, on the lead up to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that are taking part at the Contest and their Junior Eurovision story so far. Today, we look at Kazakhstan’s story.
Kazakhstan debuted at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Minsk, Belarus. Daneliya Tuleshova participated with “Ózińe sen”, finishing in 6th place and 171 points.
Yerzhan Maxim represented Kazakhstan at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Gliwice, Poland. He participated with “Armanyńnan qalma”, finishing in 2nd place (their best position) and 227 points.
Karakat Bashanova represented Kazakhstan at the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Warsaw, Poland. She participated with “Forever”, finishing in 2nd place (their best position) and 152 points.
Alinur Khamzin & Beknur Zhanibekuly represented Kazakhstan at the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Paris, France. They participated with “Ertegı älemı (Fairy World)”, finishing in 8th place and 121 points.
Can David Charlin take Kazakhstan’s first victory with “Jer-Ana (Mother Earth)”, in Yerevan at the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest?
