HRT, the Croatian national broadcaster, has announced plans for a format change to Dora 2023, their national selection for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.
Tomislav Štengl, Head of Delegation for Croatia, had the following to say:
“The intention is to have more evenings, to have more songs in this selection, a maximum of 28. We would therefore have two semi-finals and a final.”
Tomislav also mentioned the selected artists would need to produce music or lyric videos for special TV promotion.
“Our idea is to play these videos on some television shows, which will be dedicated only to Dora. Another thing is that people are simply informed. We go by the principle that if the Eurovision works in such a way that for two and a half months we all know those songs, hear them, then Eurovision is a success. That can also work for Dora.”
