
Today, the 2022 Commonwealth Games continues to take place, in Birmingham, the United Kingdom. Each day throughout the Games, will be looking at the Commonwealth nations that have sent artists to the Eurovision Song Contest. Today we are looking at Northern Ireland (UK).
Linda Martin (born in Northern Ireland) was Ireland’s entry in 1992, when the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Dublin, Ireland. Linda performed “Why Me?”, finishing in 1st place, with 155 points.
At the Commonwealth Games, Northern Ireland (UK) have had a successful medal haul before the 2022 Games began, with:
- 🥇 – 30
- 🥈 – 39
- 🥉 – 55
