
On Saturday, the 2022 Eurovision Young Musicians will be taking place from Montpellier, in France. On the lead up to the Contest, we will be looking at each of the participating countries. Today we continue with France.
France debuted at the 1982 Eurovision Young Musicians, which took place in Manchester, the United Kingdom. Paul Meyer participated with the Clarinet, placing in second place.
France have won the Contest once. Sandrine Lazarides took first place with the Piano, when the 1986 Eurovision Young Musicians took place in Copenhagen, Denmark.
France last participated at the 2000 Eurovision Young Musicians, in Bergen, Norway. David Guerrier participated with the Trumpet, however failed to place in the top three.
France will be represented by Maxime Grizard on Saturday, when she participates with the Violin in Montpellier.
