
In the first of two special #AtoZ series ahead of the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we are celebrating the languages sung at the Contest.
Spanish
The Spanish language first appeared at the 2003 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Sergio represented Spain with “Desde el cielo” – finishing in 2nd place and 125 points.
Swedish
The Swedish language first appeared at the 2003 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Honeypies represented Sweden with “Stoppa mig” – finishing in 15th place and 12 points.
Turkish
The Turkish language first appeared at the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Sofia, Bulgaria. Mishela Rapo represented Albania with “Dambaje” – finishing in 5th place and 93 points.
Ukrainian
The Ukrainian language first appeared at the 2006 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Bucharest, Romania. Nazar Slyusarchuk represented Ukraine with “Khlopchyk Rock ‘n’ Roll” – finishing in 9th place and 58 points.
Welsh
The Welsh language first appeared at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Minsk, Belarus. Manw represented Wales with “Perta” – finishing in 20th place and 29 points.
