
On the lead up to the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which is been held in Paris, we are looking back at all the countries to have participated in the Contest and their histories – past and present. Today we are continuing with Malta’s story.
Francesca & Mikaela represented Malta at the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Kyiv, Ukraine. They participated with “Double Trouble”, finishing in 8th place and 55 points.
Nicole Azzopardi represented Malta at the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Minsk, Belarus. She participated with “Knock Knock!… Boom! Boom!”, finishing in 13th place and 35 points.
After a three year wait, Malta returned to the 2013 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Kyiv, Ukraine. Gaia Cauchi participated with “The Start”, finishing in 1st place (their best position) and 130 points.
Federica Falzon represented Malta at the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Marsa, Malta. She participated with “Diamonds”, finishing in 4th place and 116 points.
Destiny Chukunyere represented Malta at the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Sofia, Bulgaria. She participated with “Not My Soul”, finishing in 1st place (their best position) and 185 points.
Christina Magrin represented Malta at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Valletta, Malta. She participated with “Parachute”, finishing in 6th place and 191 points.
