
The 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place on Saturday 20th November. The event was hosted at Mediterranean Conference Centre by Ben Camille and Valerie Vella. The top 3 were:
1st: Georgia – 239 points
2nd: Armenia – 232 points
3rd: Italy – 209 points
Cyprus, Israel and Poland all returned to the Contest. Montenegro, San Marino and Slovenia all withdrew from the Contest. This took the number of participating countries to seventeen.
So who was awarded the famous 12 points? Eight sets of twelve points were awarded to Georgia; two sets to Belarus and Ireland; with one set going to Armenia, Australia, Bulgaria, Italy and Malta.
