In MID-JULY, RTVS, the Slovakian national broadcaster, had revealed that they were undecided on participation in 2021 – however, non-participation has now been confirmed.

RTVS has cited both financial constraints and low viewing figures for staying away from the Contest. However, there is some good news. RTVS do not rule out future cooperation in either the Eurovision Song Contest or the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

While they have yet to make their DEBUT at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Slovakia are monitoring the Contest closely.
