
Following on from earlier when we brought you news of Estonia and San Marino, confirmation has been received from another non-debutant – Slovakia.
RTVS, the Slovakian national broadcaster were on the initial list of participants for the inaugural Contest back in 2003 – but later withdrew. While they didn’t debut last year, RTVS started to show interest in the Contest once more.
Slavomira Kubickova, the RTVS Head of International Relations, had the following to say about the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest:
“Due to the uncertainty associated with the COVID-19 situation in Europe, Slovak Radio and Television does not consider participating in Junior Eurovision 2020.”
