Following their participation at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the past two years, Wales will be withdrawing from the 2020 edition due to the current Coronavirus pandemic.

After a fan asked about the Welsh participation on Twitter, S4C had the following to say:

“Hi there, due to the present circumstances, unfortunately we will not be taking part in this years contest. We’ll miss everyone too! We won’t be broadcasting it this year and no decision has been taken about our participation next year at present.”

While it is too early to discuss 2021 participation, as indicated by S4C’s response, everyone here at Eurovision Ireland hopes to see their Welsh neighbours back at the Contest next year.
