In this new series from Eurovision Ireland, we will be taking a look at the participating countries and their entries that have avoided the dreaded ‘Nul Points’ in the Grand Final – thanks to just one other participating country. Today we look at Luxembourg.
1958
In 1958, Luxembourg was represented by Solange Berry in Hilversum. “Un grand amour” would have been awarded the dreaded Nul Points had it not been for the Swiss Jury awarding Luxembourg just 1 point. Luxembourg finished joint 9th/last.
1960
In 1960, Luxembourg was represented by Camillo Felgen in London. “So laang we’s du do bast” would have been awarded the dreaded Nul Points had it not been for the Italian Jury awarding Luxembourg just 1 point. Luxembourg finished 13th/last.
1992
In 1992, Luxembourg was represented by Marion Welter & Kontinent in Malmo. “Sou frai” would have been awarded the dreaded Nul Points had it not been for the Maltese Jury awarding Luxembourg 10 points. Luxembourg finished in 21st place out of a field of 23.
