
A total of 73 million viewers from across 38 broadcasting markets viewed “Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light” on Saturday 16th May. The European Broadcasting Union did not have figures for seven of the broadcasting markets that also broadcast the show.
Italy had an average of 3 million viewers, while 2.4 million viewers watched the show in both The Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Russia also saw 2.1 million viewers.
Without the Eurovision Song Contest taking place this year, the European Broadcasting Union also produced some online productions – Eurovision Home Concerts, Eurovision Song Celebration and Eurovisioncalls with NikkeTutorials. For the online productions, YouTube saw 53 million unique viewers between Sunday 1st March and Sunday 17th May.
