This year RTE and Louis Walsh internally selected talented Brendan Murray to represent Ireland at Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv.

The deadline for submission of the song was on January 16 and 330 were sent hoping to be the chosen one.

RTE has revealed that they have now reached the stage in their selection of shortlisting the songs.

Good luck to all involved in the process and may the best song win!

We need a good song this year and Brendan certainly has the voice to deliver it!
