‘Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi’ comes to mind when we have just heard the sad news that Celine Dion’s husband René has died tonight.
Dion’s husband has battled cancer for several years now and Dion had spoken last year how she was caring for her husband on her own SEE HERE
Taking to Facebook Celine wrote
René was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1999 and despite treatment the disease returned several times. Dion spoke to press recently saying
“I’ll say, ‘You’re scared? I understand. Talk to me about it. ‘And René says to me, ‘I want to die in your arms.’ OK, fine, I’ll be there, you’ll die in my arms.”

Dion married Angelil, her manager, in 1994 and the pair went on to have three children; René-Charles, 14, and twins Nelson and Eddy, five.
Our sympathies go out to Celine Dion and her family at this sad time.
