Denmark : ‘Oops They Did It Again’ As Their Songs For Eurovision Come Too Early To Market

Danish NF 2016 Leaked

DENMARK – Oh how we love DR (Danish Broadcaster) for them seeing the funny side of what has happened again in the run up to the release of their Eurovision hopefuls in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix.

The 10 songs in the Danish national selection were not supposed to be released until later in the month – SEE HERE – but Spotify in Denmark pushed the wrong button! It was supposed to be the red one for STOP, not the green one for GO!

The songs came up on Spotify in Denmark – SEE HERE

Now only if you live in Denmark can you listen to the songs – be thankful for small mercies – ah no Denmark is a lovely place to live ;-) (A bit of Irish humor so no mailing us complaining)

We love though how DR took to their official Eurovision website and held their hands up and had some fun at the error taking place. Well done guys – we like your style! SEE HERE

So Who Is In The Danish Final?

  • David Jay, ‘Rays of Sunlight’
  • Simone, ‘Heart Shaped Hole’
  • Bracelet, ‘Breakaway’
  • Sophia Nohr, ‘Blue Horizon’
  • Veronicas Illusion, ‘The Wrong Kind’
  • Lighthouse X, ‘Soldiers of Love’
  • Kristel Lisberg, ‘Who Needs A Heart’
  • Jessica, ‘Break It Good’
  • Muri & Mario, ‘Two Star’
  • Anja Nissen, ‘Never Alone’

Well if they sing as good as they look then it will be a HOT Danish Final! #JustSaying. You can get a teaser from the video above.

Can we also have a minute’s silence for our team member John Stanton who wrote his wish list of artists he would like to see at Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2016 as he got ZERO out of the 10 right – SEE HERE. The Danish Santa Claus at DR didn’t get his mail before Christmas. Poor John! He’s sitting in a corner comfort eating on a full Danish ham joint. I kid you not! It’s like something out of ‘Silence of the Lambs’ but skip the Chianti as he is having an a British ale with his pork!

So have Denmark got a Eurovision there? Remember they tend to score well when the contest is hosted in Sweden – They won in 2000 and 2012 when the contest was in Stockholm and Malmo!

What do you think of the songs? Are we staying in Scandinavia for another Eurovision? Let us know.

  1. If Anja sings as well in Horsens as she does in the studio, I think that Denmark might have a very, very good chance of keeping up their successful ‘Swedish’ winning streak… she is gorgeous, sings superbly well, the song is great and they will be guaranteed 12 points from Australia! They might even regret letting her sing for Denmark :)
