The UK’s search for Eurovision 2016 selection potentially just got a massive boost today. Let’s just hope that they take the offer up!
We all know that the BBC have opened the doors or a Pandora’s Box on their selection process for Eurovision 2016 – Read HERE – but it could be a case of ‘Move Over Beethoven’ or should that be Mr Goldsmith?
Today there was a tweet that may have gone unrecognised but we saw it. It came from Dean ‘Midas’ Maynard (I wonder if his family make the Maynard sweets – Yum). You may ask who is this? Well let’s just say that he works with some of the biggest names in the current music business and is touted as a new (and improved) Simon Cowell.
Dean ‘Midas’ Maynard established Team Midas to PR & Promote some of the country’s most talented singers, bands and performers. Many have enjoyed exposure on shows such as The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and The Voice. Having built up vital industry networks, his reputation for integrity and hard work is why performers continue to put their faith and trust in him.
Dean’s eye for spotting upcoming talent, has earned him the nicknames of the ‘New Simon Cowell’ & ‘Reality TV’s fifth judge’. His prediction successes include One Direction, Leona Lewis, Cher Lloyd, Lucy Kay and from June 2014 he championed and promoted eventual X Factor winner Ben Haenow. He then went on to do the same for 2015 Voice winner Stevie McCrorie & Runner up Lucy O’Byrne. Dean’s knack for knowing what will break is highly respected in the industry
Currently Dean and team are promoting the new song from Ben Haenow featuring Kelly Clarkson.
Having a team like @Team_Midas on your side who know the Music Scene NOW and who work with current acts, could be a good advantage for the BBC who really need to start to up their game at Eurovision.
Chance for the UK to do really well here if they are smart!
