We looked at the betting odds 10 days ago before all the songs for Vienna had been selected. Since then there has been movement in the betting odds.
So who is leading the way now?
Sweden still firmly rooted as the favourite to win the contest and the odds are still shortening especially with Paddy Power. Australia have now moved from 7th to 4th favourite. Guy Sebastian seems to be hitting the right notes with the punters.
For all the negative attention that Electro Velvet has received in the UK from the media they are standing firm as 10th favourite. Russia has seen their odds shorten too from 14th to 7th favourite to win in Vienna.
However here is a very interesting quick statistic graph!
So as you can see that there are a lot of bets (though smaller money) being placed on Finland than any other country.
The Top 5 most popular bets are
- Finland
- Sweden
- Italy
- Spain
- Estonia
Even though it is early days it is interesting to see where the money is being placed.
Who is least favourite to win?
San Marino are the least favourite to win the contest in Vienna along with Portugal and the Czech Republic – who are making their return to the contest.
Have you made a bet already? Do you think the betting odds will reflect the results in Vienna? Do any of the odds surprise you?
