DR (Danish National Broadcaster) have announced that they have received 687 submissions for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015 aka the Danish national selection for Eurovision.
This is over a 20% drop in submissions from 2014 when DR received 872 songs for consideration. Indeed 2014 was of huge interest to Denmark as host broadcaster but one would have hoped that interest would have been higher than in earlier years.
The 2015 submissions have returned to the average number that DR has received since 2011
-
2015: 687 songs
-
2014: 872 songs
-
2013: 692 songs
-
2012: 678 songs
-
2011: 663 songs
However it only takes one great song to win Eurovision!
