Changing the channel on the tv is something that we do from the comfort of our armchairs. However France is about to take a considerably bigger Eurovision remote control as the broadcast of the contest changes from France 3 to France 2 from 2015. France 3 have hosted the Eurovision broadcast for the last 15 years.

The ratings for the contest have been consistently very healthy for the show on France 3 but maybe this could be the signal that France want to see a reversal in fortunes at Eurovision. Twin Twin were highly underrated at Eurovision 2014 and placed last in the Grand final with just 2 points. Zut Alors Mon Dieu!

France reintroduced a National Selection for Eurovision this year where 3 pre-selected songs were presented on Natasha St-Pier’s show “Les chansons d’abord on France 3. The public had several weeks to vote on the favourite – Twin Twin.

Can you believe that the last time that France were victorious at Eurovision was in 1977 when “L’oiseau et l’enfant” performed by Marie Myriam won the contest.

What can France do to win Eurovision again?
