The World Music Awards in Monte Carlo took place and there was a distinct Eurovision flavour to the proceedings. 2 former performers won big on the night.
Anggun who represented France at Eurovision in 2012 came away with the award for Best Indonesian Artist (her homeland). The award was based on album sales and internet votes.
Another winner on the night was Sakis Rouvas who won Greek Legend Award. Sakis performed at Eurovision in 2004 and 2009 and presented the contest in 2006. He performed his new song ‘Open Eyes’ at the event after receiving his award.
Another clear sign that participating at Eurovision can be a smart move for your career!
