Last night Carl Espen won Melodi Grand Prix in Oslo and with that will represent Norway at Eurovision 2014. This morning it was revealed that he has gone to #1 in the Norwegian iTunes chart knocking Pharrell Williams’ infections “Happy” off the top spot. I am sure Pharrell ain’t too pleased at that news!
The singer is somewhat shell-shocked at the reaction and result from last night and took to Facebook to express his joy and thanks saying
“A dream has come true. This is a fairytale. It was strange waking up today, and trying to realize what actually happened last night. To perform “Silent Storm” in Oslo Spektrum in front of the audience and the Norwegian people was an extraordinary experience. I have received so much support, encouragement, positive attention and love. That has meant more than I can say. From the bottom of my heart: Thank you everyone. You know who you are.”
In the betting odds Norway are now second favourite to win just narrowly behind Armenia that premiered their song “Not Alone” by Aram Mp3 – See Here

Really? This anonymous little bit of nothingness is second favourite to win? Eurovision betting odds boggle the mind sometimes…
You gotta love a bit of “The Espen” Anita?
A very different ESC song
NRK just need to let him be on the stage alone at Eurovision
No Gimmicks
It’s a nice song, it just doesn’t scream winner at me. Armenia on the other hand…
Is that a good or a bad scream Anita? 😉
