Last night Ireland selected Can-Linn featuring Kasey Smith for Eurovision 2014.
The Eurosong final took place in Dublin and it provided high drama with the voting and between the mentors and the panel.
In the 5 song race both the Jury and Public placed “Heartbeat” as their preferred entry for Copenhagen.
The final results
1st – Can-Linn featuring Kasey – “Heartbeat”
2nd – Eoghan Quigg – “The Movie Song”
3rd – Laura O’Neill – “You Don’t Remember Me”
4th – Patricia Roe – “Don’t Hold On”
5th – Andrew Mann – “Be Mine”
Can-Linn and Kasey will now perform in Semi Final 2 at Eurovision on May 8th.

Love both the winning song and the second placed
If last night’s debacle doesn’t offer definitive proof that the mentor/Late Late combo is the worst possible means of selecting our entry, then we might as well throw our hat at it.
this won’t make the final!!!
