When Eurovision singers get to collaborate with Global Superstars, it proves that the contest has relevancy and is a launching pad for artists. Recently we wrote of the Twiins from Slovakia (Eurovision 2011) teaming up with Flo Rida. Now it seems that the world’s best dressed rapper “Pitbull”, wants to experience in some of the Eurovision “International Love”.
Pitbull has teamed up with Moroccan singer Ahmed Chawki and Mandinga. Leading lady Elena Lonescu has re-recorded the previously released “Habbi I Love You”. The song has been a club favourite in parts of Europe and now with Elena’s added vocals they hope to take this Ethnic/Rap/Latin song to the charts. What do you think of the song?
“Is It True” that Iceland’s Yohanna has gone all country? “Yes” is the answer. She has teamed up with Bluegrass band Baggalutur for the song “Mamma þarf að djamma” or “Mommy Has To Party”. The song has shot to the top of the Icelandic charts fueling speculation that Yohanna hay indeed be entering again into the Iceland Eurovision National Selection.
As for the song – it is a barn dancing bluegrass take ’em by the hand tune, that is certain to delight line dancers in Iceland. What do you think of it?

Needless to say neither Mandinga nor Twiins can compare to the ultimate Eurovision/Superstar team up – the A Friend in London & Carly Rae Jepsen collaboration “Rest from the Streets”
Wasn’t there something a tad strange about that collaboration Padraig?
It came out of the blue for sure
