Melodifestivalen star – and hopefully Eurovision – Danny Saucedo found himself performing again for the Swedish Royal Family.
Danny was asked to perform live at the Stockholm Concert Hall with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. In attendance at the concert was the Swedish Royal family and the full Swedish parliament.
Danny took on the Michael Jackson classic “Man In The Mirror”. He was accompanied by “LAcoeur” Gospel choir.
Taking to Facebook Danny commented “I’m honored to be a part of the artist league that got the privilege of performing for the Royal Family, the entire parliament of Sweden and my beloved parents. It’s a dream come true to stand in the Stockholm Concert Hall with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic and perform Michael Jackson’s. “Man in the Mirror” powered up by the amazing gospel choir LAcoeur.”
Don’t you just miss the sound of a full live orchestra at a contest. A pipe dream, but wouldn’t it be great to see the option for artists to sing with a full orchestra at Eurovision again (despite the cost). Any singer who participated at Eurovision pre 1998, will tell you that performing with a full orchestra is challenging yetamazing.
How did Danny equip himself with an orchestra? In his own words “Amazing”. You certainly must be good if you have the Swedish Royal Family singing and clapping in their seats!
Now what is also very interesting is that Danny posted a photograph of him with Meldoifestivalen finalist Anton Ewald and his former E.M.D. band member Mattias Andreasson saying “Making History. It’s a fact. @matteandreasson @antonewald #music #studio”
Could this be a revised E.M.D. line up? Time will tell.
Danny has to try to make it to Eurovision and we are NOT taking “no” for an answer!
