ESDM – Spanish Representatives for Eurovision 2013 – have taken to the stage to perform their song “Contigo Hasta el Final”

Andrew’s View

Spain is on first today of the big 6 1st rehearsals. Raquel is in good voice for ESDM and Spain and is wearing a lovely yellow summery dress. Its a perfectly pleasant song with a hint of Celtic connection via the bagpipe and the group remain on stage throughout while Raquel make good use of the catwalk and satellite stage. There are some lovely yellow lights come down at this point which compliment her dress and do look good on screen. However I don’t think it has enough of an impact to worry the left hand side of the scoreboard on Saturday. Possible 15-20th.

Garrett’s View

Spain on today – first of the Big 6. The opening of the song features a close up of the bag pipe player that leads you to Raquel – the lead singer. Dressed in canary yellow, she is back-lit for the first 20 seconds and then the stage comes to life. Raquel’s band members are casually dressed and interact well with each other – they are a band who have been together for some years now and look comfortable on stage and works working with the camera.

Raquel nicely uses the catwalk and comes into the audience. It looks very simple and pleasant. Vocally good but I am not sure how much of an impact this song may have in the final – a lot will depend on what songs are surrounding it. No sign of a horse which is good. I was hoping though for some elements of their official video as this is a song of love and I didn’t get that emotion – as of yet from the

performance. It is a first rehearsal so plenty of time to look at rectifying this.
