Dina Garipova releases her Eurovision Video for “What If” that will represent Russia at Eurovision 2013
Dina Garipova held a press conference earlier today to premier the official Russian Eurovision 2013 video for their entry “What If”. The song was composed by Gabriel Alares and Joakim Björnberg from Sweden and Leonid Gutkin of Russia. Dina is The Voice Of Russia winner and was internally selected by Channel 1 to represent Russia at Eurovision in Sweden.
Featuring a cast of over 500 hundred people, the video was shot in the Maly Theater in Moscow. Are we looking at Russia’s second Eurovision winner with this feel good factor song?

Given the repression that’s going on in Russia at the moment, the idea that they are the flag-bearers for unity and friendship is revoltingly hypocritical. This song and video make me sick.
Hi. Is this seen therefore as being very Progressive? There appears to be people of different ages, races and sexual orientation in the video – how has this been received in Russia? Positive or Negative? Thanks
Ok song but a bit sweet for me no doubt will be up there fighting for the top place.
We think so too. Sounds like a 90’s Eurovision power ballad
