RAC 1, a Spanish media outlet, is reporting that Barcelona have withdrawn from the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest host city bid. Barcelona had been FAVOURITE to host the Contest.

The only venues that are suitable to host the Contest – the Palau Sant Jordi and the Sant Jordi Club – are unavailable for the required length of time due to prior bookings. This leaves Granada, Málaga & Valencia in the host city race. The news maybe revealed during the Junior Eurovision Song Contest press conference in Malmo.
