
Here at Eurovision Ireland, we are taking a historical look back on our favourite Contests past and present, on the very day they took place. Today it’s February 11th:
Saturday 11th February 1978
On this day in 1978, the 18th edition of Melodifestivalen took place in Stockholm. Björn Skifs took victory with “Det blir alltid värre framåt natten” and 100 points. At the 1978 Eurovision Song Contest in Paris, Björn finished 14th, with 26 points.
