🇨🇦🇰🇿 #ESC26: Canada & Kazakhstan Will Not Debut

The EBU, the European Broadcasting Union, have revealed that no new countries will debut, at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, in Vienna.

Director of the Eurovision Song Contest, Martin Green, has confirmed that both Canada and Kazakhstan will not debut at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2026, in Vienna. Martin stated that both Canada and Kazakhstan, as well as any other new country, would not debut at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, as it is already too late for any other broadcaster to join, as the deadline had passed in December.

Canadian national broadcaster, CBC and Kazakh national broadcaster, Khabar Agency, are both associate members of the EBU. They would need to be invited by the European Broadcasting Union in order to compete at the Eurovision Song Contest.
