#BIRTHDAY: Maarja-Liis Ilus from Estonia is 45 today

If you’re anything like us, you’ll be starting your festivities very shortly. Or it could be tomorrow. Or it could be early next month. Whenever it is, have fun and make the most of it.

But enough of a good preach, you want a birthday. And what better than an Estonian one? You don’t agree? You’re just a stick in the mud. Well, as it’s the birthday of Maarja-Liis Ilus (Mary Lisa Beautiful if you will). You might remember her as a 15 year old when she performed with Ivo Linna (John Town) and got Estonia’s first top 10 place. Then one year later she glammed up and achieved Eesti’s second top 10 place. She’s clearly a trailblazer. They were good times. As you’ll see from today’s video, she’s the one without the beard.
