Former Andorran representative, Marta Roure, has revealed the reason behind the continued non-participation at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Marta Roure, who represented Andorra at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, in Istanbul, had the following to say:
“Andorra’s absence from Eurovision isn’t due to financial reasons.
I was told, ‘Marta, we’re sorry, but those in charge aren’t thrilled [with the idea of re-entering].
The Andorran government currently has other priorities, such as keeping Cirque du Soleil running during the summer.'”
