
On the lead up to the 2025 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Tbilisi, we will be taking a look back at participating countries past and present. Today we continue our look back with Russia.
Russia debuted at the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Hasselt. Vladislav Krutskikh participated with “Doroga k solntsu”, finishing in 9th place and 66 points.
Tolmachevy Sisters represented Russia at the 2006 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Bucharest. Tolmachevy Sisters participated with “Vesenniy jazz”, finishing in 1st place and 154 points – Russia’s best position to date.
Alexandra Golovchenko represented Russia at the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Rotterdam. Alexandra Golovchenko participated with “Otlichnitsa”, finishing in 6th place and 105 points.
Mikhail Puntov represented Russia at the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Limassol. Mikhail Puntov participated with “Spit angel”, finishing in 7th place and 73 points.
Ekaterina Ryabova represented Russia at the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Kyiv. Ekaterina Ryabova participated with “Malenkiy prints”, finishing in 2nd place and 116 points.
