VG, a Norwegian national media outlet, has reported that the EBU, the European Broadcasting Union, is set to revise the Eurovision voting regulations.
Mads Tørklep, Head of Delegation for Norway, had the following to say:
“We reported our concerns to the EBU and requested a revision of the regulations and, from what I understand, this is what will now happen.
We at NRK believe this is unfortunate and think it is important to have regulations that keep the competition apolitical. We will follow up on this at future meetings and put pressure on the matter.”
