Rai, the Italian national broadcaster, have confirmed their representative, following Sanremo 2025 – their national selection for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel.
The winner of the Sanremo 2025, Olly, has confirmed on social media that he will not represent Italy at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest. Rai has announced that the runner-up of Sanremo 2025, Lucio Corsi, will now represent Italy at the contest in Basel, with their song “Volevo essere un duro” (I wanted to be a tough guy). The Italian representative is not automatically the winner of the Sanremo, with the winner given the opportunity to decline to participate.
