This week, TG4, the Irish national broadcaster, have shared some information about Enya Cox Dempsey. Let’s get to know her!
Enya from Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny will sing a newly written song “Le Chéile” (entirely as Gaeilge) as one of the 17 entries in this year’s competition. “Le Chéile” is an exciting, funky, uptempo pop track with a very catchy beat. The music video for “Le Chéile” is online NOW here Junior Eurovision – Le Chéile- Enya Cox Dempsey
Enya lives with Mum Róisín and the family dog Pip. Family is a huge part of Enya’s life as her uncle Paddy, grandad Paddy Sr and granny Helen live just next door and are always on hand to listen to Enya’s performances. Enya has recently taken up playing the drums much to Róisín’s delight – the drums are set up in Róisín’s bedroom! Enya gave a very memorable rendition of Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire” on last year’s Toy Show and has performed in local pantomimes and shows with her Music Generation club all her life. Her goal is to win big for Ireland and become a pop star and make her home town proud!
Enya is currently in Madrid rehearsing ahead of this evening’s final. Unlike the senior competition, fans can vote for their own country! Support Ireland and vote for Enya online!
